Reason for the Shortage

- Akorn shut down in early 2023.
- Altaire is not currently marketing polyvinyl alcohol 1.4% ophthalmic solution.
- Major has discontinued Liquitears ophthalmic drops.
- Ocusoft has discontinued Tears Again.
- Rugby has polyvinyl alcohol (NDC 00536-1408-94) ophthalmic drops available.
