- Hospira has a limited supply available of potassium chloride 10 mEq/500 mL in dextrose 5% with sodium chloride 0.225% and potassium chloride 40 mEq/1000 mL in dextrose 5% with sodium chloride 0.45%. Potassium chloride 20 mEq/1000 mL in dextrose 5% with sodium chloride 0.9% is on back order with an estimated release date in May 2013. Potassium chloride 40 mEq/1000 mL in sodium chloride 0.9% is on back order and the company estimates a release date of June 2013. Potassium chloride 2 mEq/mL 250 mL vials are also on back order with an estimated release date of September 2013. Hospira has potassium chloride 30 mEq/15 mL vials on back order with an estimated release date of 3rd quarter 2013.
