Reason for the Shortage

  • BMS acquired Azactam from Elan in April, 2010.
  • APP has increased production of aztreonam and is releasing product regularly to help meet increased demand.

Estimated Resupply Dates

  • APP has aztreonam 2 g vials on back order and the company estimates a release date in late-May, 2013. Aztreonam 1 gram vials are on back order and the company estimates a release date in mid-May, 2013.
