Reason for the Shortage
- APP could not provide a reason for the shortage.
- Sagent states manufacture of cefuroxime 1.5 gram was suspended in March, 2013. No further production is planned.
- Hospira discontinued cefuroxime 1.5 gram and 7.5 gram vials in January, 2013.
