Reason for the Shortage
- Apotex had halted manufacturing due to an FDA audit.
- Ranbaxy has acyclovir capsules and tablets on back order due to a raw materials shortage.
- Teva discontinued acyclovir unit-dose tablets in November, 2012.
- UDL discontinued acyclovir capsules in April, 2012.
