Report a Drug Shortage to ASHP

In order for the ASHP Drug Shortage Resource Center to remain current:

  • It is vital for members and others responsible for managing drug product inventories to report their experiences with shortages to ASHP.
  • Reports assist ASHP in learning about and assessing the extent of shortages around the country.
  • Information is shared with the Food and Drug Administration Drug Shortages Program and the Drug Information Service of the University of Utah.

ASHP depends on members for information to assist in making decisions, setting priorities, and planning and implementing actions to address a shortage problem. Shortages can be reported online by filling in the form below. Complete information about the drug product shortage situation is necessary for ASHP's analysis.
