The ASHP Best Practices Award in Health-System Pharmacy fosters the development of innovative health-system pharmacy practices and services. The program recognizes outstanding practitioners who have successfully implemented systems to improve patient care and demonstrate best practices.
Call for Nominations
Deadline for application is August 14, 2009. Award winners will be notified by October 5, 2009.
Nominating Instructions
Many outstanding practices deserve recognition. Applicants will be judged on the description of the program and practices currently used within their health systems that demonstrate leadership in health-system pharmacy, especially in those areas that significantly improve patient care.

Selection Committee
ASHP convenes an independent panel of experts to evaluate applications. A maximum of six health-system pharmacy programs are recognized each year. Award recipients receive a plaque and present a summary of their program at a poster session and reception during ASHP’s Midyear Clinical Meeting in December. Award recipients are responsible for their own travel expenses to attend the meeting.
