The internship is a ten-week training program for an undergraduate pharmacy student, with nine weeks conducted at the ASHP Headquarters in Bethesda, MD, and the tenth week at the ASHP Annual Meeting. The program is coordinated within the office of Membership and Organizational Liaison.
General Information and Benefits
The intern will receive a modest stipend for the nine-week period in the ASHP Headquarters Office; all personal expenses and arrangements (e.g., housing, transportation, etc.) are the responsibility of the intern. ASHP will reimburse the intern for routine expenses associated with attendance at the Summer Meeting, including transportation (domestic, tourist class, round trip airfare), meeting registration, and hotel for the five nights of the meeting.
Applying
Individuals interested in applying should submit the following:
- Resume (including phone number)
- Two letters of recommendation from professional references (e.g., employer, pharmacy school faculty)
- Cover letter of one to two pages indicating your interests in the summer internship
Items should be submitted by February 1 to be considered for the following summer.
