Prior to seeking accreditation for a pharmacy residency program, interested parties should complete an online assessment of their program to determine if they are ready for the accreditation process. This “RU Ready Tool” tool will walk you through a series of questions related to pharmacy residency program accreditation readiness. When completed, you will have a good grasp of how close you may or may not be to initiating the formal accreditation process and will ultimately save you time and help you recognize areas that require attention.
This assessment tool can be re-started multiple times; however, if you exit or close out of the tool, you will have to start at the beginning when you re-use the link. While the assessment consists of only yes/no questions, if you read all the guidelines and links to other information, it could take up to an hour or more to thoroughly utilize all the resources. If you would like to review your responses, the response guides, and links to further readings at another time, there are directions at the end of the assessment that will show you how to save your assessment. (So if necessary, you can go through quickly the first time and go back and review more carefully later.)
If you have any questions related to the self assessment or the accreditation process, please email the ASHP Accreditation Services Division at asd@ashp.org.
