Network Facilitators

The Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists have established networking groups to meet the needs of specialty practitioners.  Networking groups represent contemporary specialty areas for practitioners to discuss clinical or administrative issues.

Each networking group has a facilitator that is appointed by the Section Executive Committee.  Appointments are for two years.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize networking activities at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Midyear Clinical Meeting. 
  • Serve as a resource to ASHP and the Section on matters relating to the specialty; which may include, but are not limited to:
    • Participate in interviews with press representatives on issues in the specialty area.
    • Provide expert commentary or review of policy and position statements from ASHP or other organizations or agencies.
    • Provide suggestions for ASHP educational programming, products, or expert review of same.
    • Suggest or participate in the Section's educational programming at the ASHP Midyear Clinical meeting, including the Clinical Pearls session.
    • Participate in the Section Virtual Journal Club.
  • Facilitate exchange of information through the Section's NewsLink and Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists listserve and discussion board.
  • Develop and/or encourage other practitioners to submit manuscripts for the “Clinical Consultation Column” in AJHP.
