The Executive Committee of the Section of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology is composed of Section members elected each summer to one of the following offices:
- Chair-Elect (serves approximately three years, first as Chair-Elect, then Chair, then Immediate Past-Chair)
- Director at Large (serves 2 years)
The Executive Committee directs the activities and programs of the Section and advises ASHP staff on ways to better meet the needs of ASHP's section members. The Executive Committee meets twice a year at the ASHP Summer Meeting in June and at ASHP's Midyear Meeting in December. Frequent e-mail communication and teleconferences are also included in Executive Committee member responsibilities.
