ASHP will be directing a number of activities to advance the ASHP Health-System Pharmacy 2015 Initiative, including:

• Conducting detailed surveys to assess achievement. ASHP will stratify collected data in various ways, such as type of practice setting and bed size (in the case of institutions). Data will be collected through ongoing ASHP surveys, such as periodic surveys of hospital pharmacy services and ambulatory care services, as well as through new surveys.
• Reporting to members about achievements on goals and objectives. Surveys will most likely reveal that some arenas of health-system pharmacy practice achieve certain objectives more extensively than others.
• Engaging other stakeholders. Informing public agencies, public policy makers, consumer groups, insurers, and various other health-care organizations about the initiative to convey the commitment of health-system pharmacy practitioners to achieving the improvements.
