Some questions to consider when reviewing the draft documents include:
1. Is the guidance or statement of position clear? Is the issue a concern for pharmacists or their patients?
2. Does the background adequately explain the need for the guidance document?
3. Is the guidance sound, based on your experience and your understanding of practice and the literature on the topic? Are the references current, and do they support the guidance or position? (ASHP guidance documents are not intended to be comprehensive reviews of the literature, but supportive references should be cited.)
4. Will the guidance help pharmacists improve patient outcomes or the efficiency of care?
When submitting comments, please include your name, title, and contact information (such as an email address or a telephone number). ASHP gratefully acknowledges reviewers when its guidance documents are published, noting that review does not imply endorsement. Please include your name and credentials as you would like them to appear.
