20 mg, bottles of 100 (NDC 00406-0594-01) - discontinued
40 mg, bottles of 100 (NDC 00406-0595-01) - discontinued
80 mg, bottles of 100 (NDC 00406-0596-01) - discontinued
Reason for the Shortage
- Dava discontinued their oxycodone extended-release tablets in mid-June, 2007 per an agreement with Purdue to stop selling product after this time.
- Endo discontinued their oxycodone extended-release tablets at the end of December, 2006. http://www.pharma.com/pressroom/news/20060828-1.htm
- Watson discontinued their oxycodone extended-release tablets March 1, 2007. The company would not provide a reason for the discontinuation.
- Teva discontinued their oxycodone extended-release tablets on January 28, 2008.
- Mallinckrodt has discontinued all of their extended release oxycodone presentations.
Estimated Resupply Dates
Oxycontin extended-release tablets are available from Purdue in 10 mg, 15 mg, 20 mg, 30 mg, 40 mg, 60 mg, and 80 mg strengths.
