Reason for the Shortage
Methotrexate injection is in short supply because of manufacturing delays.
Estimated Resupply Dates
- APP has the 25 mg/mL (with preservative) 10 mL vial (NDC 63323-0123-10) available. The 25 mg/mL (with preservative) 2 mL vial has been discontinued.
- Bedford has the preservative-free 2 mL, 4 mL, 8 mL, and 10 mL sizes on back order and the company cannot estimate a release date.
- Hospira (formerly Mayne) has the 25 mg/mL 2-mL vials (preservative-free [NDC 61703-0350-38]) and 40-mL vials (preservative-free [NDC 61703-0408-41]) available.
- Generamedix has available the 25 mg/mL preservative free 10-mL vials (NDC 10139-0062-10) and 40-mL vials (NDC 10139-0062-40). The 2-mL presentations are on back order and the company cannot estimate a release date.
- Parenta (Ebewe) has the 25 mg/mL 2-mL (NDC 66758-0040-02), 10-mL (NDC 66758-0040-08), and 40-mL vials (preservative free [NDC 66758-0041-01]) available.
