Reason for the Shortage
Merck has low inventory of Antivenin Latrodectus Mactans.
Estimated Resupply Dates
Emergency supplies are available for patients with symptoms due to a bite by the black widow spider. Merck will supply 1 package per order to ensure everyone in need of the product is able to obtain it. This is a short-term solution. The company cannot estimate when regular distribution will resume. Clinicians may contact the Merck Order Management Center at 1-800-637-2579 to order limited quantities of the product.
