All trimethobenzamide-containing suppositories (Tigan, Tebamide, T-Gen, Trimazide, Trimethobenz)

Reason for the Shortage

The FDA withdrew approval of trimethobenzamide suppositories due to lack of efficacy data. Oral and injectable trimethobenzamide are not affected and remain available (ASHP news story).

Estimated Resupply Dates

Manufacturers of trimethobenzamide suppositories must stop shipping product by May 9, 2007. Remaining supplies may be used until depleted.
