Reason for the Shortage
- Both Dey and Apotex have discontinued their metaproterenol solution for inhalation. The companies could not provide a reason for the discontinuation.
- There are no other manufacturers of metaproterenol solution for inhalation.
Estimated Resupply Dates
Metaproterenol is available in a metered-dose inhaler (Alupent) from Boehringer Ingelheim. This product does contain chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) propellant. The Federal
