Reason for the Shortage

Hospira is discontinuing this product line as a business decision. The product line will be discontinued in phases starting February, 2009 through August, 2009.

• Baxter has available multiple Clinimix and Clinimix E amino acid products in Clarity Dual Chambers in a variety of strengths and presentations. The products listed below are similar but not equivalent to the discontinued Hospira products:

  4.25% amino acid in 20% dextrose (NDC 00338-1135-03)
