Intal Inhaler, King Pharmaceuticals
8.1 gram inhaler (NDC 60793-0011-08) – discontinued
14.2 gram inhaler (NDC 60793-0011-14) – discontinued
Reason for the Shortage
- King Pharmaceutical is no longer manufacturing Intal Inhalers. The Intal Inhalers are being discontinued due to various factors including the inability to formulate a chlorofluorocarbon-free product.
- There are no other manufacturers of cromolyn sodium in an inhaler presentation.
Estimated Resupply Dates
- King no longer has their cromolyn sodium 8.1 gram and 14.2 gram inhalers available.
- Teva has cromolyn sodium inhalation solution available in 10 mg/mL 2 mL (NDC 00172-6406-49) and 4 mL (NDC 00172-6406-59) vials.
