Purdue Pharma discontinued its levobupivacaine injection because its rights to manufacture or distribute the product expired. Celltech owns the rights to the product but has no plans to manufacture or distribute levobupivacaine injection. The company had been looking for a partner to manufacture the product but has not identified one.
