Amphastar is shipping supplies of Cortrosyn to wholesalers. The product now has 22-month expiration dating. Organon sold its Cortrosyn product to Amphastar Pharmaceuticals in June 2003. Organon was manufacturing the product for Amphastar but closed its production facility and will no longer supply Amphastar. Amphastar was working with FDA to begin manufacturing Cortrosyn and received final approval in August 2004.
