Landmark one-hour television program traces history, contributions of pharmacy
ASHP was one of the sponsors of the 2005 public television program, “Pharmacists: Unsung Heroes.” The hour-long program explored the many critical contributions that pharmacists make to patient care across a variety of practice settings.
This ground-breaking program also has a special 20-minute educators’ version, educating students in grades 9-12 about careers in pharmacy. It can be used by both teachers and pharmacists in career counseling. You can request a copy of the DVD and a teacher’s guide from ASHP’s Public Relations Division via e-mail at publicinfo@ashp.org or phone (301) 664-8799.
The program and outreach campaign were produced in association with Parenteral Drug Association Foundation for Pharmaceutical Sciences, Inc. (PDAF) and made possible in part by the following sponsors: American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy; Pfizer US Pharmaceuticals, Pfizer Inc; American Society of Health-System Pharmacists; Monster®; Nina Dale Demuth Fund; Roche; American Pharmacists Association; Lachman Enterprises, Inc.; Pall Corporation; and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals.
