This podcast will share the experiences of the 2021 ASHP Summer Interns as they discuss adapting to their education, learning styles, and internship to a virtual model during the COVID-19 pandemic. Additional discussion topics will include maintenance of personal wellbeing and connections with others.

SPEAKERS

Kendall WickKendall Wick is a rising P3 student at Wingate University School of Pharmacy. Currently she is a summer intern with ASHP. Kendall is very active in her school and community, leading clubs, volunteering, and spending weekends working in the pharmacy. She is fortunate to live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina where she spends time hiking, camping, paddle boarding, and rock climbing. Kendall loves learning and appreciates the opportunity to host this Hot Topic podcast on Pain Management Pharmacy.

Khushali SarnotKhushali Sarnot is a P2 at Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville School of Pharmacy where is pursuing a master’s in health informatics along with her PharmD. Khushali is highly involved with the school of pharmacy serving as the Class Vice President and historian, President-Elect for SSHP, and Fundraising and Social Chair for APhA-ASP. Aside from school, Khushali works as a Pharmacy Intern in St. Louis, Missouri at a SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital.

Shirly LyShirly Ly is a rising P3 from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. Shirly serves on the Student Board Committee and Communications Council of FSHP, as well as an active member of the Gainesville SSHP chapter. She hopes to pursue residency after pharmacy school, with interests in ambulatory care, oncology, pharmacogenomics, and health-system administration. In her free time, Shirly likes to listen to music and podcasts, cooking, and checking out new restaurants in town.
