Introducing the New ASHP Summer Meeting Mentoring Emerging Leaders Program

In “Will There Be a Pharmacy Leadership Crisis? An ASHP Foundation Scholar-in-Residence Report,” Sara White recommended: Identify and encourage students, residents, and practitioners who are interested in and have the ability to be leaders and change agents.
Attended by pharmacy leaders with a wealth of leadership experience, the Summer Meeting is a leadership goldmine for emerging leaders. To help emerging leaders achieve their potential, we’re setting up a way for you to give them a boost.
Through new “Mentoring Emerging Leaders” program, we’re teaming mentors with mentees to provide a dynamic mentoring experience while gaining perspectives on the up-and-coming generation of pharmacy leaders.
Even before arriving in Tampa, mentors and mentees are encouraged to connect. Upon arrival, pairs meet up periodically throughout the week to discuss what to expect, how to make the most of the meeting, and cover various professional and career development topics. Participants can take advantage of the additional perks of the program such as:
