Contact Your Congressional Representatives during the August Recess

Legislators have made significant progress on health care reform legislation and are on their way home for the August recess. Time is of the essence to meet face-to face with your representative and senators while they are “back home” seeking their constituents‘ views on health care reform.

This kind of opportunity does not come very often. The legislation being considered by the House and Senate will represent the biggest change in America’s health care system since the establishment of Medicare in 1965.

During their break, reach out to your congressional representatives to make the case for our priorities for health care reform. Here’s how:

• Log in to ASHP’s online advocacy center to contact your two senators and representative.
• You can invite them to visit your practice site, schedule an appointment at their district office, or attend a town hall meeting.
