Speak Up for Pharmacy During Town Hall Meetings
7/15/2008
Even if you weren’t able to “make a date” with your congressional representatives, there’s still a chance for you to share the pharmacist’s perspective on important health care issues with legislators.
Members of Congress often hold town hall meetings during the August recess to help them keep in touch with the issues that impact their constituents. These meetings are a great opportunity for you to introduce issues that impact your practice and the profession, like funding for second-year residencies and Medicare beneficiaries’ access to pharmacists’ services.
To find out when your legislators will be holding town meetings, check out their Web site or contact their local offices.
