Mahaney Elected ASHP President
Bohenek, Gersema Tapped for ASHP Board of Directors

Lynnae M. Mahaney, MBA., FASHP, has been elected as the Society’s new president-elect. Wayne Bohenek, Pharm.D., M.S., FASHP and Lisa Gersema, Pharm.D., BCPS were elected to serve on the ASHP Board of Directors.
Mahaney is chief of pharmacy services at the William. S. Middleton Memorial VA Hospital in Madison, Wisc. She has served ASHP as chair of the Council on Legal and Public Affairs and a member of the Board of Directors, Council on Organizational Affairs, Nominations Committee, Task Force on Pharmacy’s Changing Demographics, the ASHP Foundation Development Committee and the House of Delegates. She is a former board member of the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin (PSW) and was the 2004 PSW Pharmacist of the Year.
Bohenek is vice president of Patient Safety and Clinical Transformation at Catholic Healthcare Partners in Cincinnati. Gersema is director of pharmacy and residency program director at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minn.
Mahaney will begin her appointment as president-elect immediately with Teresa Hudson, Pharm.D., BCPP, FASHP, who was re-elected to a one-year term as Chair of the ASHP House of Delegates during the Society’s meeting of the House of Delegates in June. Bohenek and Gersema will begin their terms in June 2009.
