Ginsburg Elected ASHP President
Jolowsky, Sanborn Tapped for ASHP Board of Directors

Diane B. Ginsburg, M.S., R.Ph., FASHP, has been elected as the Society’s new president-elect. Christene M. Jolowsky, M.S., R.Ph. and Michael D. Sanborn, M.S., R.Ph, FASHP, were elected to serve on the ASHP Board of Directors.
Ms. Ginsburg is clinical professor and assistant dean for student affairs at The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy. She has served on ASHP’s Board of Directors and was the chair of the Council on Education Affairs, co-chair of the Foundation Development Committee, and a Texas delegate to the House of Delegates. She is also a past president of the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists (TSHP) and a recipient of TSHP’s Pharmacist of the Year award. Ms. Ginsburg is editor-in-chief of ASHP’s PharmPrep and co-editor of ASHP’s Preceptor Handbook for Pharmacists.
Jolowsky is the IPPE Coordinator at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy. Sanborn is corporate vice president of cardiovascular services for the Baylor Health Care System in Dallas.
Ginsburg will begin her appointment as president-elect immediately. Jolowsky and Sanborn will begin their terms in June 2010.
