Location
The Hilton New York is a sophisticated hotel conveniently located in the midst of business and media centers in New York City, at West 53rd Street and Avenue of the Americas (Sixth Avenue), just moments from such famous landmarks as Radio City Music Hall, Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), Fifth Avenue shopping, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Broadway and Times Square.
Getting There
The Hilton New York is located only 30 minutes from LaGuardia Airport, 45 minutes from JFK International Airport, and 45 minutes from Newark International Airport. Grand Central station is 15 minutes across town, Penn Station is 15 minutes downtown and Port Authority is 10 minutes downtown.

JFK Airport -- take the JFK Airtrain to the Sutphin Blvd-Archer Ave. JFK EJZ Station. Take the World Trade Center bound E Train to 7th Avenue and walk 1 block east along 53rd St. to 6th Avenue. Approx. $7 each way.
Newark International Airport -- take the Newark Airtrain to the Newark International Airport Train Station. Take either a NJ Transit or Amtrak train to New York Penn Station. Take the 1, 2 or 3 train to 50th St. Walk 3 blocks north on 7th Avenue, and 1 block east to 6th Avenue. Approx. $17 each way.
Hotel Reservations
All hotel reservations must be made directly with the Hilton New York, 1335 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10019; 212-586-7000. ASHP has reserved a block of guest rooms for New Practitioners Conference attendees at the special rate of $189 per night for single or double occupancy, plus applicable state and local taxes, currently 13.375%. There is an extra person charge of $20 per person if 3 or more people stay in the same room. Reservations will be accepted thru July 31 or until the group block is sold out. Any reservations after that date will be based on the hotel's current rate.
To register by phone, call 1-800-HILTONS (4458667) and be sure to mention the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists to receive the special group rate. Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance of the check-in date in order to receive a full refund.

Association Travel (ATC) is the official travel agency for the ASHP 2008 New Practitioners Conference. ATC searches for the lowest available fare on any airline and also has arranged discounted rates with United Airlines.
