ASHP supports the Pharmacist Student Loan Repayment Eligibility Act of 2011 [PDF] cosponsored by Sens. Daniel Inouye (D-Hawaii) , Jack Reed (D-R.I.), and Mark Begich (D-Ark.). Enabling pharmacists to participate in the loan forgiveness program under the National Health Service Corps would help ensure an adequate supply of a key part of the health care team.
