Reason for the Shortage
- West-Ward Pharmaceuticals’ parent company, Hikma Pharmaceuticals, acquired azathioprine injection from Bedford in July 2014.
- There are no other manufacturers of azathioprine injection.
- The oral presentations are not affected by this shortage.
