Ambulatory Care Review Course - Online

Ambulatory Review CourseOffered by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the American Pharmacists Association.

Planned by the ASHP Sections of Clinical Specialists and Scientists and Ambulatory Care Practitioners.

This program is specifically developed to help you prepare for Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Specialty Examination. Designed based on the domains, tasks, and knowledge statements developed by BPS for the examination, the course will help you prepare for the exam by identifying areas needed for in-depth review of the ambulatory care pharmacy issues by:

  • Reviewing pertinent clinical topics and practice skills
  • Providing exam practice questions
  • Listing valuable resources for further self-study

Content is delivered using an interactive, case-based format with strong emphasis on the thought processes needed to solve patient care problems in each therapeutic area. As patient cases are discussed, faculty members present the best answer to questions that illustrate key concepts. References and other resources are provided for further study by participants. Lectures and case study materials are designed and organized in a consistent manner to ensure quality and enhance usefulness to the participant. Course participants will receive handout instructional materials.

The online course content was developed from the live offering held at APhA 2011 Annual Meeting in Seattle, WA on March 24-25, 2011.
