Midyear Clinical Meeting and Exhibition

The ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting is the largest gathering of pharmacists in the world. With its focus on improving patient care, the meeting is attended by more than 20,000 pharmacy professionals from 86 countries. For four decades, the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting has provided healthsystem pharmacy practitioners with a venue for updating their knowledge, networking with colleagues, enhancing their skills, and learning about the latest products and technologies. The hundreds of educational activities at the Midyear Clinical Meeting are developed to maintain and enhance the knowledge, skills, and abilities of pharmacists and associated personnel in health systems. A dynamic venue for instruction on important issues relevant to contemporary pharmacy practice, the meeting’s five full days of continuing education sessions are unmatched anywhere.

Summer Meetings and Exhibition

The ASHP Summer Meetings are where the association provides continuing education credits through intensive skill development in emerging pharmacy concerns, kicks off its calendar year with the inauguration of new officers and board members, and hosts the proceedings of the House of Delegates. Attracting more than 3,000 pharmacy professionals from leadership, managerial, and supervisory roles in health-system practice, the meeting is also a gathering of leaders representing state pharmacy societies. Educational programming is structured around hot topics, series (stand-alone sessions focusing on key aspects of a single topic), and learning communities (tracks of plenary and breakout sessions within a specific topic). The meeting also includes poster presentations and an exhibit program.

National Pharmacy Preceptors Conference

The National Pharmacy Preceptors Conference provides the latest and most proven methods in pharmacy precepting to initiate, grow, and strengthen a residency program.  This is the only conference designed purely to meet the needs of pharmacy residency program directors, residency preceptors, and student preceptors.  The NPPC always delivers educational sessions on the most requested and pressing topics in pharmacy precepting as well as the opportunity to network with preceptors from all over the country.  We help turn today’s novices into tomorrow’s leaders of pharmacy!

Conference for Leaders in Health-System Pharmacy

As a pharmacy leader in today's complex healthcare environment, you continue to face significant challenges. Charged with offering higher-quality pharmacy services on tighter budgets, pharmacy managers require good leadership and negotiation skills to improve current services and to implement innovative and cost-saving pharmacy programs. This conference consistently features presentations by experts on current pharmacy practice management topics.

Medication Safety Collaborative

The Medication Safety Collaborative is for interprofessional teams of health-system based clinicians and administrators who focus on quality and patient safety. The purpose of the Collaborative is to be the premier educational event for health-system practitioners interested in improving quality and patient care. The Collaborative offers 4 days of interactive education and invaluable networking that will equip and inspire attendees to immediately implement what is learned into their practice.  An assembled team of distinguished experts in their field will present thought provoking and actionable solutions to optimize safety and quality outcomes. Learn how to focus your priorities; advance your quality improvement activities by including patients and families in the process, and integrate Best Practices and new tools to deploy at every step.

Ambulatory Care Conference and Summit

The conference provides up to 10hrs of continuing education on hot topics and emerging issues in the practice of Ambulatory Care pharmacy. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in building a foundation for advancing ambulatory care practice through consensus building; and all conference attendees are encouraged to contribute. Attendees will identify new opportunities for pharmacists to interact directly with patients in the ambulatory setting and to assume responsibility and accountability for patients’ medication outcomes at the individual and population levels. The goal is to create a vision for forward thinking pharmacy practice models that will ensure pharmacists are the members of the ambulatory healthcare team responsible and accountable for patients’ medication-related outcomes.
