SAG on Manager Development

Charge

  • Advise on how ASHP can best support the effectiveness of new and existing pharmacy managers;
  • Develop educational content, tools, checklists and resources to enhance the skills and competencies of pharmacy managers, focusing on components of both clinical and operational manager effectiveness;
  • Identify strategies for advancing the role of the pharmacy executive within the health-system;
  • Assist ASHP in the development of curricula to facilitate the advancement of clinicians into management roles;
  • Maintain resources for making it easier and fun to manage day-to-day, and to prevent manager burnout.
