ASHP’s work on drug shortages was noted in an in-depth, two-part series, “Inside America’s Drug Shortage,” on Time.com about the drug shortage crisis plaguing the nation.

ASHP has been leading efforts to solve this issue. The ASHP Drug Shortages Resource Center is relied upon by practitioners to help them navigate the problems created by shortages. ASHP also continues its advocacy efforts, which include collaborating with other organizations to lobby Congress and work with the Food and Drug Administration to help promote strategies to solve the crisis.
