The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.
Some states have special requirements for program content to meet state requirements for continuing education. Please check with your state to determine if such requirements exist and to determine if these programs meet those requirements.
ASHP determines the number of contact hours for each session. Registrants may earn up to 36 contact hours (3.6 CEUs) at the 2008 Midyear Clinical Meeting.
To initiate this process, attendees must record their CE online or obtain a paper form from the Meeting Information Center. Click here for more information on recording your CE.
For Pharmacy Technicians
Educational programs at the Midyear Clinical Meeting are a Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)-accepted method for certified pharmacy technicians to obtain CE credit. Those programs offering CE credit for technicians are designated with a “T” following the ACPE number. A Continuing Education Documentation Form for Pharmacy Technicians is available at the Meeting Information Center. Contact PTCB at 202-429-7576 for further information. All programs do not have to offer pharmacy CE credit to be acceptable by PTCB.
Pharmaceutical Industry-Supported Symposia
ASHP Advantage, a division of ASHP, specializes in developing customized, results-oriented educational symposia with funding from commercial supporters. Continuing Education credit for ASHP Advantage symposia presented at the Midyear Clinical Meeting is available through the ASHP Learning Center.
Many other industry-supported symposia have been scheduled in conjunction with the Midyear Clinical Meeting and will be held throughout the week at official meeting hotels. The program organizer is responsible for continuing education credits and content. Click here for a symposia listing
