Epcot Behind the Scenes: Hidden Treasures

Epcot is host to a family of nations standing side by side along the shores of World Showcase Lagoon. This showcase of nations features an extraordinary collection of art, architecture, and costumes. Join us in Hidden Treasures for a study of our international community and the Disney magic that brings it to life!
Your instructor for this 3 ½ hour tour reveals the attention to detail within each nation’s pavilion, turning fact into fascination. Come sample the history of China, the romance of Old Europe, the pioneer heritage of North America, and the exotic flair of Morocco. See how the special Disney touch adds to the authenticity of this international community.
Attendees in Hidden Treasures will do the following:
- Philosophy – Review the countries represented in World Showcase and the philosophy that brought them together.
- Details – Examine the authentic details of history and culture in each World Showcase nation that can often be overlooked in a hurried visit.
- Art, Architecture and Costumes – Discuss the architecture and costumes of the World Showcase countries.
- Illusions – Travel behind the scenes for a look at some of the illusions created by Disney “Imagineers.”
Hidden Treasures brings the wonder and discovery of traveling the world to life in one extraordinary and entertaining journey!

Kennedy Space Center Lunch with an Astronaut

Follow in the footsteps of some of our nation’s greatest explorers at the Kennedy Space Center, where the dreams of America’s space pioneers took flight. Embark on your adventure aboard a special shuttle motor coach at the main Visitor Complex. Your first stop is the LC39 Observation Gantry. Here you will get a bird’s-eye view of today's space adventures from this 60-foot observation tower, where you’ll have an unobstructed view of the space shuttle launch pads. Then your'e off to the Apollo/Saturn V Center where you will get a first hand look at the massive 363-foot Saturn V moon rocket, the most powerful rocket ever built. Experience history in the Firing Room Theater as the countdown reaches zero and you hear and feel the enormous blast as Apollo 8 leaves for the moon. You will be treated to a delicious buffet lunch where the guest of honor is an astronaut. During your lunch you will see a mission briefing, hear the “real” story on space exploration and have the opportunity talk to an astronaut. After lunch, take home a signed souvenir and take photo with an astronaut.
When you are in the Visitor Complex stop by Astronaut Encounter, where you will have another opportunity to meet and greet an astronaut. Also stop by the Exploration in the New Millennium where you will see images of exploration beyond earth orbit. Remember to make some time to view an IMAX film, displayed on a gigantic five-and-a-half story screen, the next best thing to actually being in space. Drive time is approximately one hour each way.
Note: The bus ride is 45 minutes one-way. This tour involves walking in some locations. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Due to heightened security, detailed searches will be conducted on all bags and purses. All electronic devices must be in working condition. No outside food items are permitted on property.
Winter Park/Park Avenue Shopping Tour

Escape the hustle and bustle of city life by spending a peaceful day on scenic Park Avenue in Winter Park. Winter Park is known around the world for its annual Winter Park Art Festival and quaint brick streets. Its tree lined park and train station are visuals that greet you. Start your tour with a relaxing, 45-minute scenic, open-air boat ride past luxurious homes along three beautiful lakes and canals.
Following your boat tour, browse the exclusive boutiques and art galleries filled with one-of-a-kind treasures, as well as stores bearing the names of your favorite designers. Take a break at one of the Avenue’s open-air cafes or just sit in the park and people watch.
You’ll want to save time for the famous Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art featuring the largest collection of Louis C. Tiffany glass in the world.
