Travel to the City
McCarran International Airport is the central airport serving the Las Vegas Area. It serves over 40 air carriers, offers over 1,100 flights arriving and departing daily, and offers direct flights to more than 125 U.S. cities. Flight status and contact information for individual air carriers can be found on the McCarran Airport's website.
McCarran is a short drive (just one mile) from the Las Vegas Strip. Taxicabs are available and airport personnel are available on the taxi curb to assist passengers. Taxis will not accept credit card payments. There is a $1.20 charge on all fares originating at the airport. The maximum number of passengers allowed in any taxi is five (5), including infants and children. The most economical way to get to your hotel is an airport shuttle. The shuttles are located just outside the terminal in the same area as the taxis. Shuttle service to the Strip or downtown costs less than $10 and runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Check with your hotel to arrange the return trip to McCarran.
