Workstation Requirements/Limitations

• Limit of 5 concurrent (simultaneous) users
• Program cannot be copied & run from a workstation hard drive
• Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP
• Recommended Minimum Processor: Pentium II, 366Mhz (or higher)
• Recommended Minimum RAM: 64mb (or higher)
• Macromedia Flash Player version 7 or higher. If the workstation does not have this installed, the program will present the user with security dialog box to download the player.

HID Single-User Edition - Requirements/Limitations

• Program will only run from CD

Server installation

1. Put CD in your CD-ROM drive. The installation program should start automatically. If it does not then from your Start|Run menu type “D:\setup.exe” where D represents your CD-ROM drive.
2. You will see the Welcome screen. Click Next to continue.
3. You will be prompted for the location on the Server you want to install the application. The default is C:\Program Files\ASHP\HID Network Edition\ Click Change to navigate to your network location you want to use. (The Server files must be installed on a unique computer. The application will not run on a workstation that is also being used as the Server.)
4. You will be asked if you want to review the settings. If you do Click Back. If you are sure of the path being used Click Install to begin.
5. The files will be copied to the Server. Click Finish to complete the installation.

Workstation Installation

1. Nothing is installed on the workstation except for a shortcut to the EXE on the server.
2. From the Desktop create a shortcut (Right Mouse, Click New, Click Shortcut, and Click Browse).
3. Browse to the HID Server folder you used in Step 3 of the Server Installation above.
4. Click on HID Network.EXE and Click OK
5. The path will be filled in. Click Next to continue
6. You will have the option to change the name of the shortcut. Default is HID Network.exe
7. Click Finish and you will be taken back to the Desktop.
8. Click on the shortcut icon you created in Step 6 above to begin using the program.

Unlock your Program

1. To unlock your Network Version you will need to launch the application from a users workstation.
2. Upon starting the application first time within your network you will be prompted to enter your Key Code.
3. You will enter the number that was provided on the front of this cover letter.
4. You will only have to enter this number one time.
