One-Year Self-Paced Leadership Program Format

This format is designed for the individual learner to develop their own skills and knowledge of leadership through various articles, topics, and seminars provided throughout the year in a flexible, self-paced schedule.

  • This program outline is accessible and ideal for pharmacists working in any setting.
  • Each month, the learner is encouraged to read or listen to one of the listed resources for the month and to thoughtfully reflect on how the provided insight and perspective may be applied in their own personal practice.
  • Given the self-paced nature of this program, individual components of each month may be shifted based on personal preference, goals, and timelines.
  • One resource within each month is recommended, though you are encouraged to explore the additional listed articles or lectures as time permits.
  • Consider incorporating formally prepared leadership journal club handouts or articles into your work practice. One example would be a leadership-related article briefly discussed or presented at a monthly department or committee meeting.
