I believe that health-system specialty pharmacy is uniquely poised to provide the best comprehensive care for patients requiring specialty medications. The high-touch, integrated services delivered ensure appropriate prescribing and medication utilization, an improved patient journey, and enhanced patient engagement and outcomes. These factors can ultimately lead to decreased overall cost of healthcare. The patient centric model offers the highest value to all stakeholders in the specialty pharmacy landscape, and I believe it is critical to demonstrate this in order to remain viable in the marketplace. Health systems are facing countless challenges, but there are also many opportunities that require us to move forward strategically. I believe that ASHP will continue to raise the standard for safe, optimal, effective, and accessible care for all patients who require specialty medications.

I am grateful for the leadership, support, and advocacy that ASHP brings to the health-system specialty pharmacy profession. I will continue work to discover opportunities to utilize my experience to help health systems navigate the increasingly complex world of developing, maintaining, and growing specialty pharmacy services. I am deeply honored by this nomination, and I am energized by the opportunity to continue to serve in the advancement of our profession!
