JENNIFER WHEELER, PHARMD, CDCES ([email protected]) is the Chief Clinical Officer for Community Health Alliance in Reno, NV, where she oversees all medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services provided across six health center locations. Prior to her current role, Jennifer served as the Chief Pharmacy Officer at Community Health Alliance and directed all retail and ambulatory care services, as well as the 340B program. She has been a preceptor for students from over five universities, mentoring students in both retail and ambulatory care services.
Jennifer received her PharmD from Roseman University of Health Sciences in South Jordan, UT, and has been a member of ASHP since 2017. She has participated in many collaborations with ASHP throughout her career, the most recent being the A3 Collaborative, which focuses on embedding pharmacists in healthcare teams to provide comprehensive medication management.
Fluidity is the one constant we have in healthcare today. ASHP provides a “home” for pharmacy professionals throughout their career - from students to long time professionals. The thing I love most about being a pharmacist is the support we have for one another, and ASHP helps facilitate that support. Community pharmacy contributes to so many different aspects of the profession. We are vaccinators, prescribers, care-givers, insurance experts and leaders. I am excited to bring my personal experiences with community pharmacy to ASHP in order to help move the profession forward.
