Section Committees

These committees are responsible for determining the election slate and developing educational meeting sessions for advanced clinical practitioners at the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting for the Section.

Nominations Committee

The Nominations Committee is responsible for determining the election slate each spring for the new members of the Section's Executive Committee. This committee conducts all of its business by email, teleconference and e-room.

Educational Steering Committee

The Educational Steering Committee is responsible for developing educational meeting sessions for advanced clinical practitioners at the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting. The Educational Steering

Committee chooses a theme each year to further the Section's mission and recruits meeting-programming associates for approximately four to six thematic sessions. The committee meets formally at the Midyear Clinical Meeting and via e-mail, teleconference and e-room throughout the year.

Charge

Identify key topics that meet the educational needs of the Section members. This information will be utilized to help prioritize educational programming selection for ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting and Summer Meeting
Support Section efforts in coordinating and organizing educational endeavors among the Section Advisory Groups and Committees
Develop section proposals for ASHP meetings and section based webinars. Identify experts that can most effectively deliver information on the prioritized topics, including those able and willing to serve as program chairs (PC) for topics.*
