On Monday, April 9, 2018 we will be going live with improvements to our drug shortages database. These improvements will increase the accuracy and timeliness of shortage updates. Users may notice the following changes after the update:
- The URL for each shortage bulletin will change slightly (the ID number at the end of the URL will change). This will affect any bookmarks you have created to a specific product’s shortage information, including links directly to a product’s shortage information from within your institution’s informatics systems. Bookmarks and links will need to be checked and revised once the update is implemented.
- There will no longer be yellow highlighting to indicate the latest changes to a shortage bulletin.
- There may be slight differences in the way a product is named. For example, the concentration may appear after the product name rather than before it in some cases.
