    • Iodine and Potassium Iodide solution, Cooper Surgical, 8 mL bottle NDC 59365-6064-01 - discontinued

Reason for the Shortage

    • Cooper Surgical discontinued iodine and potassium iodide topical solution in the summer of 2023.
    • Gordon Laboratories has Lugol's solution on shortage because the company is waiting for bottles for the product.
    • Safecor has recalled several lots of Strong Iodine Solution due to not meeting current good manufacturing practices.

    • There is insufficient supply for usual ordering

Estimated Resupply Dates

    • Gordon Laboratories has iodine and potassium iodide solution on back order and the company cannot estimate a release date.
    • Safecor has iodine and potassium iodide solution on intermittent back order and the company is releasing supplies as they become available.
