- Iodine and Potassium Iodide solution, Cooper Surgical, 8 mL bottle NDC 59365-6064-01 - discontinued

Reason for the Shortage

- Cooper Surgical discontinued iodine and potassium iodide topical solution in the summer of 2023.
- Gordon Laboratories has Lugol's solution on shortage because the company is waiting for bottles for the product.
- Safecor has recalled several lots of Strong Iodine Solution due to not meeting current good manufacturing practices.

- There is insufficient supply for usual ordering

Estimated Resupply Dates

- Gordon Laboratories has iodine and potassium iodide solution on back order and the company cannot estimate a release date.
- Safecor has iodine and potassium iodide solution on intermittent back order and the company is releasing supplies as they become available.
