    • Dopamine Hydrochloride in 5% Dextrose injection, Pfizer, 800 mg/250 mL, LifeCare flexible container 12 count, NDC 00409-7810-22

Reason for the Shortage

    • American Regent is not marketing dopamine injection.
    • Baxter has dopamine premixed bags available.
    • Pfizer states the shortage is due to manufacturing delays. The dopamine 200 mg/250 mL and 400 mg/500 mL premixed bags were discontinued in August 2017.

Estimated Resupply Dates

    • Pfizer has dopamine 40 mg/mL 10 mL vials on back order and the company estimates a release date of June 2020. The 800 mg/250 mL premixed bags are on back order and the company estimates a release date of November 2019. The 40 mg/mL 5 mL vials are available in limited supply.
