“ASHP is special to me because it provides endless opportunities for students such as myself to gain the tools and experiences necessary to be competent and well-rounded pharmacists,” said Shanice Anderson, B.S., a student pharmacist at Howard University College of Pharmacy.

Shanice joined ASHP during her first year of pharmacy school and is currently serving as the Vice President of the ASHP-recognized Student Society of Health-System Pharmacy at Howard University for the 2017-2018 school year. Her most memorable ASHP moment was attending ASHP’s Legislative Day on Capitol Hill. “I learned so much and helped pharmacists’ concern be heard on the Hill,” she said.

Shanice first became interested in pharmacy in the eighth grade. “I chose to embark on this career path because I knew I wanted to do something in the healthcare field, but initially wasn't sure of exactly what,” she said. “After doing some research, I realized pharmacy is such a rewarding and fast-growing profession and knew I wanted to be a part of it!”
