Number of Years at Organization:
5 years

Reasons for Selecting this Career Path:
I became a Pharmacy Technician by chance and found that there were opportunities for growth and advancement. I accepted every opportunity to learn a new skill in the profession. I have worked in multiple disciplines from retail, pediatrics, behavioral health, and leadership. With over 20 years of experience, I had the opportunity to move into my current role in which I oversee our Technician in Training program, facilitate our current team in obtaining advanced training, development and implementation of a pharmacy technician career ladder and I am an advocate for pharmacy technicians within our organization.

Professional Interests:
My main interest is in advocacy of the advancement in practice for pharmacy technicians. I also truly enjoy training and developing new folks in their career as pharmacy technicians. It is so wonderful to see them obtain their goals and grow in their careers and know that you were a part of making that happen.

Interest in the PTF Executive Committee:
My interest is to help lead and guide others in the forum. Provide feedback and give useful tips and tricks. Most importantly to be a resource for those in the forum.

Benefits of being involved in ASHP as a Pharmacy Technician?
One of the main benefits is networking and learning from other Pharmacy Technicians. You can become valuable resources for each other.

Fun Fact about yourself:
In my spare time I like to ride my bicycle and I am a former competitive power lifter.
