Why I Do What I Do

As a child, I loved helping my grandparents with their medicine. I looked forward to sorting their pills into their weekly pill organizer. I discovered then that I had a love for helping people. The patients that I care for every day are ultimately why I do what I do. There is no greater pleasure than to leave work every day knowing that I may have helped someone in a major way. I love healthcare; I love pharmacy!

Most Memorable Experience as a Pharmacy Technician

Attending the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting for the first time in December 2017.

Why I Became Certified

From the day I decided to become a pharmacy technician, I knew I wanted whatever was out there for technicians. When many of my colleagues did not see the benefit of certification, I told them that I was thinking about the future in getting certified. My certification has allowed me to obtain many new positions and opportunities that I would have missed out on without certification.

My Passion Outside of Work

Besides my children, I do a lot of community service through my church. I also work with a lot of youth in my community through a flag football league that my fiancé and I started.
